VOGUE FESTIVAL 2014

Vogue festival was an absolute blast. I went for the "Fashion Beauty and Digital revolution" talk with Pixie Geldof, Mary Katrantzou, Miroslava Duma and Nick Knight as well as the "Fashion Legends" talk with Naomi Campbell and Franca Sozzani. both talks, especially the fashion legends one were very insightful but to be honest, none compare to the Donatella Versace one I went to last year. Everyone came out in their Sundays best, here are a few of the people I met at the event.

CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2013

The annual 10 day Cannes film festival has begun and although I'm not quite sure what happens during this festival, I know that it's usually a very exciting time for fashion. These are my favourite dresses so far. What are your favourite dresses? I'd love to hear from you guys.

2013 MET GALA: BEST DRESSED

I spoke a lot about the lack of edginess in a lot of the outfits in the worst dressed list and although a lot of these dresses are not punk enough, they are stunning.

I've always wondered what Nicki Minaj would look like with dark lipstick and i think she looks wonderful. She should wear darker lipsticks more often. I can't help but feel like her dress is too casual though.

2013 MET GALA: WORST DRESSED

I've missed you guys, hope you missed me too :p I'm always excited about the met gala because it's the one event that celebrities can truly push boundaries and not get criticised for it. This years theme was punk but I expected to see a lot more edginess especially from people like Miley Cyrus and Rita Ora who dress quite edgy on a normal day.

She looks beautiful, but I don't really see the beauty or the punk in this outfit.  It looks like she happened to have two different types of fabric at home and just tied them on.

VOGUE FESTIVAL 2013

I haven't been this excited about anything in such a long time. Last year, Vogue started an event known as the vogue festival which is when a  bunch of movers and shakers in the fashion industry hold seminars. This year, they had Vivienne Westwood, Donatella Verscae, Paul Smith, Tamara Mellon, Victoria Beckham, Anna Dello Russo, Cara Delevingne and so much more. I planned on seeing Donatella, Tamara and Anna but tickets for Anna and Tamara sold out before I could get them. Donatella's talk was very inspirational. She spoke about her Childhood, having to take over Versace after her brother Gianni was shot (she spoke to him just 4 minutes before he was killed), Versace as a whole and so much more.

GRAMMYS - GUYS

I began putting this post together when as the red carpet event was going on. Why it took me this long to finalise it, I do not know. This was truly a great night for fashion. Most of the Men looked dapper in their suits and there were barely any mishaps. And in most cases, those who fell didn't even hit rock bottom.

WORST DRESSED

I'm all for pushing boundaries and dressing in artsy pieces but this is a bit too much. It would have been better if the trousers were plain black.

GOLDEN GLOBES 2013

WORST DRESSED.

It upsets me that she has the guts to criticise people  on  fashion police. I know  we can't  always get it right,but hasn't she got eyes. this dress is disgusting. I am very upset. Her boobs look wrong urgh the dress is just ugly. Probably my worst outfit of the night.

CHRIS BROWN IN LAGOS

Chris Brown had a concert in Nigeria just the other day, and these are the outfits that stood out to me.

I love that her jewellery is minimal and that she chose to be different but still look stylish.

Toke Makinwa ALWAYS looks stunning.

This is bravery at it's finest.

This is Urban, this is youthful, this goes with the event, this is beautiful.

Love the vintage feel to this, and love that she chose to wear shorts with the top.

It's a very simple outfit but I absolutely adore it.

Definitely my favourite outfit of the night.

This outfit upsets me because those shorts are breathtaking. I'm getting excited just thinking about how it could be styled. i'm not sure what is going on with her tights, shoes and jacket.

BEST DRESSED

the fit of this dress is appalling, but this is by far the cleanest i have ever seen Kesha look

Pink and her husband look great together. I love that dress, the lazer cut detail is lovely

this is not something i would usually like, but i think he looks good.

i absolutely love this dress, i think Ginnifer looks adorable.

YES kelly, YES ! she is finally coming into her element with her music and style. totally loving it.

The hair is gorgeous, but her outfit looks like something an amateur stylist put together, it's just not good enough.

i don't get it and i am never in support of wearing closed toe shoes with long dresses.

it looks a tad bit incomplete to me

 

this does not look creative or arty, just ugly

she's got legs for days and that dress is stunning but the shoes put me off the whole outfit.

This entire outfit does absolutely nothing for her.

EVENT STYLE - 2012 VMAS

My best and worst from the 2012 VMAS.

BEST DRESSED

Initially,  I was not a fan of Miley's hair, but I have to say it looks gorgeous. Her Emilio Pucci dress is equally stunning. this is by far my favourite outfit of the night.

To be honest, I don't like this Adam Selman dress from the front but because I am obsessed with Rihanna, I can't put her on my worst dressed list. Do we like the hair?

Emma Watson looks very nice in this colourful Peter Pilotto number. the shoes are a bit dodgy though.

Taylor Swift looks really grown and sophisticated in this white J.Mendel suit and shirt. loving the Tom Ford shoes.

No one else can rock this Versace jump suit as well as Nicki Minaj, her body is phenomenal. 

I don't know who Kat Graham is wearing, but i really like her suit. Her shoes are a tad bit ugly and I have mixed feelings about her top.

I have no idea why Rita Ora changed into this Stephane Rolland couture gown, but it is awesome, the leather harnest and detailed shoulders are dope.She should have worn this on the red carpet. 

For Ke$ha, this is quite nice.

Yaaaay Amby Wamby is preggers. peep the outline of her body *lovestruckface. I wish the neck line of the dress was lower.

One direction came through looking very dapper. Zayn (second one from the left) is just too beautiful.

WORST DRESSED

This Alexandre Vauthier dress is nasty. The material looks cheap and her hair is is equally ugly. i like her shoes though. (my worst of the night)

I'm not a fan of this Ellie Saab dress. I wish the lining was full length and the dress was a bit fuller at the end. Her hair is gorgeous though.

Wiz K's shoes though! from the waist down, he looks like a hungry lesson teacher.

This jump suit is very overdone. it's just ugly.
