WARWICK NIGERIAN SOCIETY

I get really nervous when people ask me to do their makeup so I'm somewhat happy that my friend didn't actually speak to me in detail about doing the makeup for her uni's fashion show prior to my arrival because I probably wouldn't have gone. It was a Warwick university fashion show where societies individually presented their clothes. I assisted the Nigerian society. My friend Kika and I did the makeup and I helped with the accessories- because of the shoots I have and people I style, I buy a lot of jewelry which they used for the show. Their performance is at the end of the post.

ALTER EGO SHOOT

Almost every day, I watch a movie or see a picture that makes me think "whoa i'd love to have a ... inspired shoot" so i decided to put a few of the outfits together into one shoot. As these outfits reflect completely different personalities, I decided it'll be best if they are all put into one picture so that they come off as one girl with six different alter egos.  I'd like to say a very big thank you to Hafsat for editing this picture, Aramide and Alexander for taking all the pictures, Abigail and Amna for coming out to support and assist me and ofcourse Imade Ogbemudia for always agreeing to model for me. I'd love to know what you guys think of the outfits.

SKYFALL

When i think of skyfall, i think of bad ass suits and wealthy looking people. seeing as the colour white is very on trend right now, i decided to incorporate it into the look. the fur scarf is from Camden, the blazer is from ASOS and the trousers are from AA. This is my favourite outfit of the lot.

FELA

I mustn't lie, i'm not the greatest fan of Fela's music, but I love every thing he stood for and as this is the biggest thing i have ever done independently when it comes to fashion, I thought it was very essential for me to pay homage to him. As Imade is obvs female, I decided to dress her as his dancers.

URBAN GRUNGE

None of the outfits were exactly youthful, so I decided to go get in touch with my youthful side through this urban grunge outfit. Top and shorts are from topshop, the plaid shirts and shoes are both from primark and the jacket is from ASOS.

PIN UP, ROCKABILLY

I am obsessed with the whole pin up rockabilly idea. I think it is THE coolest thing ever and i've always wanted to do an all pin up shoot, as a matter of fact, i shall put that plan into action as soon as i possibly can. Top and trousers are both from topshop. glasses from camden and shoes from primarno.

MAD MEN

Mad men has got to be one of the greatest shows ever. although I never actually bothered watching past season two, i still rate it very highly. If you watch mad men, you'd know that cigarettes play a very significant role in the show. The dress is from House of Fraser, the shoes are from primark and the gloves are from Camden. unfortunately, i forgot the pearl necklace at home so the look is a tad bit incomplete.

THE GREAT GATSBY

From the trailer of the movie alone, I knew that I HAD to have a great gatsby themed shoot. Although the ending was horrible, the movie was absolutely amaze balls. This was my least favourite outfit. unfortunately, the dress i initially intended on her wearing was sold out in her size. The dress is from River Island, the gloves are from Camden and the shoes are from Primark.

INDECISIVENESS

These pictures were taken on the same day as the jumpsuit ones. We weren't doing anything out of the ordinary so it was a basic top and trousers outfit but as i had my camera with me, I took photos of her after doing her makeup for the evening. I feel like i'm in gatsby to go(a team on jerseylicious that go to peoples homes to do their hair, makeup and pick their outfits) Before we left hers, I couldn't decide between the shorts, skirt and jeans. So i made her try them all on again for this post, see how much I love you guys.Yes it's absolutely freezing in London but we weren't going to be spending too much time outdoors. Thinking about this now, I should have come up with three completely different outfits with this top and had a one top three looks post. which one do you prefer?

ALEXANDER WANG INSPIRED JUMPSUIT

I love the versatility of this jumpsuit. it could easily be worn to dinner and for a night out. I teamed it with these strappy giuseppes and minimal jewellery because it was a very laid back night.

BIN BAGS

Sometime last year, I dressed a friend in bin bags, foil and newspapers. Last night I went over to Imade's and did the same thing. I also did the make-up but wouldn't advice this eye and lip combo if one plans on going out as it would be too heavy. Hope you guys had a fab weekend. please leave comments telling me what you think. Thanks

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world

The final leg of my weekend was spent at my friend Imade's house doing her makeup and putting her outfit together. This weekend was one of the best I've had in ages, I am so grateful for the friends I have.

HALLOWEEN

I searched online for Halloween inspired make-up and this is what I was able to come up with. anyone that knows me knows that art is not my thing, i cant draw to save my life, but it's my blog and I can upload what I want to ;)

This was the base for all of them, i had to nude out my lips and eyebrows.

I'm not entirely sure what this was meant to be.

yet again, I don't know what this is meant to be.

PEACOCK EYES

My friend Tessa made a  gorgeous dress  inspired by buildings
for her art project and had to take pictures of her self in it .
i was very excited when she asked me to do her make up for her.
in a bid to make it as "unbasic" as i could, i went on you tube to find
peacock inspired make-up. i found this from  "vintageortacky" and tried to
duplicate it as best as I could.
