STYLE CRUSH : LUPITA NYONG'O

If you had asked me who Lupita was a few weeks ago my answer would have been “that fine bald babe from shuga” I don’t know if I've been living under a rock or if her PR team just upped their game majorly this past few weeks but she has been all over the news recently for her role in 12 years a slave (Dare I say it was rather underwhelming and her scenes, all two of them weren't that great) and everyone has been talking about her style especially the dresses she wore to the past few award shows. She always looks very elegant with simple sophisticated dresses and very little jewelry, usually just a ring and little studs.This girls stylist deserves several awards. Her makeup artist on the other hand... gasta go. Back to Lupita, she is damn near physical perfection. Her body, her skin, her hair, her face, her teeth not to mention how well spoken she is oh lawd Jesus, even her name is beautiful. I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store for her.

I'm so sorry for my absence, I have no valid excuse but on the bright side, i'm back from my hiatus and a bucket load has happened since I last blogged, Khloe got a divorce, Beyonce made history as usual, Cici announced her pregnancy, Kelly Rowland got engaged, Kelly Osbourne broke off her engagement, Bruce and Kris got divorced, Kendall Jenner showed her nipples, Miley Cyrus went cray cray all kinds of things went down on scandal but most importantly, GIRLS IS BACK!! I put this post together to show you guys some outfits that made my heart stop over the past couple of Months.

DOS is an eclectic and vibrant women's clothing store in Lagos, Nigeria. The store stocks everything you need for a perfect outfit, from jewelry to clothes, to shoes etc. They also have African pieces which you can make to order. out of all the clothing stores I've been to in Nigeria, DOS is definitely the best so do pop by to their store at 30 Norman Williams, Ikoyi for a unique shopping experience.

GWYNETH PALTROW IRON MAN 3 PREMIER GOWN

Gwyneth Paltrow wore this risque Antonio Berardi Fall 2013 gown to the Iron man 3 premier in Calirfonia. I'm not 110% sure about whether or not I like it because I think it looks too casual. I'm not sure if it's the fit, the lack of accessories or the fact that she didn't do anything with her hair but whatever it is is definatelty clouding my judgement about the actual dress and the white part under the peplum is bugging me, I wish it didn't go straight and then shapey but shapey immediately after the peplum (i hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say) but I know for a fact that I am loving the short one that was shown on the runway. What do you guys think?

PREGNANT KIM K

Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing, the thought of someone bringing life into the world is just so wonderful and powerful. I love looking at pregnant people(I promise i'm not weird), especially stylish ones. Kim has been under a lot of scrutiny over her weight issues and it just annoys me. the chick is preggers, let her be. we all know her pre pregnancy body is faultless and she'll probably get back to that within weeks of giving birth. regardless of anything people say about her weight, it can't be denied that she is still as beautiful as ever. Now let's talk about some of her pregnancy outfits.

A few months ago, I had a post on kids fashion. This post is going to focus specifically on Aila Wang who is Alexander Wang's niece. To describe her style in one word, it'll be grunge. She's so edgy, i'm so jealous I wish I dressed as good as her.

ZUHAIR MURAD

Shortening this post to just 20 pictures is probably the hardest thing I've had to do in a while. Zuhair Murad dresses pop up at almost every award show, I love his use of material. he incorporates lace in a lot of his outfits and his designs are always very simple and classy. I love how he uses different types of fabrics to make simple outfits stand out.These are some of my faves.

CLEAR CLUTCHES

Clear clutches are fast becoming a thing and I am not complaining. They come in different shapes, colours and sizes. My favourite ones are the little non-coloured box ones. I'd love to know what you guys think about them.

aminta is a Spanish fashion blogger with amazing style.I came across her on ASOS fashion finder and intrigued by her hair and outfit, I went on to look at all her pictures and eventually discovered her blog. Her outfits range from quirky to edgy, to girly and to wonderfully stylish. In anticipation of this post, I contacted Aminta and we exchanged a few emails. I initially thought that she was a stylist or had a career in fashion, but she told me that she is a photographer and blogger. not only has she had her blog for just over 2 years, she is also a blogger for the United Colors of Benetton Spanish blog.

A.S.E.M

Peace Asemota is a Canada based up and coming designer and really good friend of mine. her line is called A.S.E.M and has been featured in 2 fashion shows. She has always been a lover of fashion and I am so proud of her for "putting in work" my Pissy Wissy Kissy as I call her is the epitome of hotness, just look at her. She is a beautiful person both inside and out. She designs, sketches and sews her clothes her self. When asked to describe her style in three words, she says "Me me me, my clothes reflect my mood" By the grace of God, there shall be greater things in store for A.S.E.M and best believe that I will keep you posted.

IF I WERE A BOY

I have been thinking about this post for a while, but i've been having difficulties with the wordings. Anyways, this post is all about what i'd be like if i were a boy/man. 

•  I would have the best suits ever and wear them all the time, kind of like Scott Disick, the fit of his suits are amaze balls. 

If you aren't familiar with Scott and his suits, please take this time to Google the beauty that is Scott Disick. 

• Not so scruffy but scruffy hair with a fade and neat facial hair, never a clean cut. Usher does this the best.

Usher gets hotter with age.

• I don't know what it is, but I love bracelets on guys.

Preferably wooden beaded ones, but couldn't get a good picture.

• Good eyebrows. If you have a mono brow and you don't do anything to it, slap your self now.

Love Chris Brown's brows, the arch is perfect for a dude.

• I wear glasses now, so I'm just going to assume that if I were a guy, I would still wear glasses, thick framed ones.

I am tired of writing this post, so I'm just going to attempt going to sleep.    

P.S Nigeria has won two gold medals in the paralympics so far, so proud of people.

PINT SIZED FASHIONISTAS

 I can never look at my baby pictures without cringing, don't get it twisted though, I was a really cute baby, but the way I was dressed was just never nice. I only had hair at the back of my head and my mum always put about a million hair clips on the very little hair I had. I wish I was dressed like the toddlers featured on this post. My kids would definitely be very stylish and would have no embarrassing baby pictures, well not in terms of their outfits anyway.
